 BIAS-BASED TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT
 CHAPTER MISSION

The mission of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) is to utilize the expertise of its members to lead in the development of strategies to:

Foster diversity at all levels of law enforcement;

Impact policies and procedures that would ensure equity in the delivery of law enforcement services;

Develop community partnerships to reduce violence, delinquency, crime and racism and;

Address professional misconduct within the law enforcement community.

This is accomplished through mentoring, training and research. NOBLE is committed to "Justice by Action!"

Meeting these objectives has been possible only through the perseverance, dedication and support of many individuals. Over the years, NOBLE has participated in the development of public policy, cooperated with other organizations on similar concerns, and launched innovative policing ideas. Moreover, NOBLE has been in the forefront supporting the development and implementation of fundamental law enforcement policies and procedures that enhance the profession's response to the needs of the communities they serve.

The Northern Illinois Chapter of N.O.B.L.E. is a registered 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit organization. Contributions made to our organization are tax deductible.

In our chapter's short history we have given away over $10,000 in scholarships and donations. This is largely in part to you, our supporters. We trust that with your continued support we will consistently increase our contributions to the communities we serve.

 I AM YOUR CHILD

NOBLE is a member of I Am Your Child

Because the first years truly do last forever, NOBLE has joined over 150 national organizations in becoming a member of I Am Your Child. The campaign represents an unprecedented coalition of entertainment leaders, children's organizations, elected officials, health professions, foundations and corporations who have joined together to help unite the work being done across the country to promote family and community involvement in young children's healthy development. I Am Your Child is a national public awareness and engagement campaign to help people understand the importance of new brain research and its implications for our children's lifelong healthy development.

 PLEASE BUCKLE UP

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for African American children up to age 14, and the second leading cause, after homicides, for black males between 15 and 24. Indeed, black children aged 5 through 12 are nearly three times as likely to die in a vehicle crash as white children. Yet black high school students are 50 percent less likely to buckle up than whites or Hispanics.

The Northern Illinois Chapter of N.O.B.L.E. is a registered 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit organization. Contributions made to our organization are tax deductible.

In our chapter's short history we have given away over $9000 in scholarships and donations. This is largely in part to you, our supporters. We trust that with your continued support we will consistantly increase our contributions to the communties we serve.
